When Kindred Forest tasted Miller Bravo Daza's lot at the cupping table, it stood out as their favourite: a distinctive, wine-like character more reminiscent of a natural than a washed process. That impression wasn't just their own. Miller's coffee placed 7th in the regional competition at the Auction for Peace / Subasta por la Paz, first evaluated by local Q graders before being selected among the top 10 by a panel of international roasters - a genuine standout among some of Cauca's best.

Kindred Forest purchased the lot directly at auction in August 2025, paying $21.50 per pound - a price that reflects both the quality in the cup and what the auction represents more broadly: meaningful recognition for farmers working in a conflict-affected region, and an encouraging signal to the next generation of producers considering the same path.

In the cup, it's winey and spicy, with sangria and dark chocolate notes, good sweetness that builds toward cool, tropical passionfruit, and a juicy, raspberry-like malic acidity running through a medium, smooth body. It scored 88.06 on the Q scale, with a fragrance and aroma layered with florals, passionfruit, cherry, raisin and nutty undertones, finishing with a lingering, medium-length sweetness.
